New Life at the Bornzins

April 25, 2011

A breath of fresh air has blown into Silverton. Our son Joel has been with us since the first of March bringing sunshine and laughter from L.A. Joel is excited about the possibility of finding a new job in Oregon and has already had several great interviews. For us as parents, it is good to see him enlivened by this new chapter in his life. On a more personal note, he has gotten Dad into a more vigorous exercise routine. At the same time, his teasing of his Mom reminds her of growing up with her brother Gary, who teased her mercilessly. We do our best to “dish it back to him,” and he seems to enjoy the banter. When Joel gets his new job, we will be announcing it “from the rooftops!”

This coming weekend we will all be traveling to Spokane for the Bloomsday Run and a visit with dear friends, Bill and Judy. It will be Joel’s first time in the run, and he is looking forward to “walking” with Bill and Jim.
When we return, Jim and Carmen will be planting impatiens along our walkway from the driveway to the front door, welcoming any of you who may want to visit us this summer.

I have posted a couple of new scissorcuts which you may enjoy. Check out my scissorcut tab.
