Second Novel Underway

December 4, 2011

With encouragement from a friend I began work on a second book, a sequel of sorts to Terror at Trinity. Since October the chapters have been accumulating. Tales from Trinity fills in the gaps from the first book, telling the stories of individual church members, family members and friends. Life is not always what it seems. Sometimes, what seems like an end is really a new beginning. Sometimes God uses rain to make the flowers bloom, and sometimes God uses tears to wash away the old and usher in the new. These stories, when woven together by God, helped turn the terror at Trinity into blessings. Any feedback you want to share would be appreciated.

This past month I have been honored to display my large painting of Silver Falls in the Borland Gallery in Silverton. Another work of mine “Kids at Cape Arago” is on display at Silverton City Hall. Who knows, I may become famous yet! Ha!

Our family is doing well. Both sons, Keith and Joel, were here for Thanksgiving Day, along with our grandson Klive (5). Carmen’s turkey and dressing were fantastic! The day after Thanksgiving we had a special visit with our other grandson, London, who is now 15. We had some wonderful talks and he walked with me up South Water Street to the Silverton stairs, 166 steps up to Abiqua Heights. We climbed them together, then came back down. I went up again, but London said, “Maybe next time, Grandpa.”

May your Christmas be blessed with good news, good health, and good times with family.
